Joshua Holmes – Executive Director
After teaching for years and transitioning to sales, Josh decided to quit the corporate world to help his wife Allison with her cottage bakery and farm. He is the head of the growing department for The Holmestead Harvest, but also assists Allison with baking for her sister company, The Holmestead LLC. Passionate about sharing the love of Jesus through food access, he is excited to share more produce down the road for those that need it the most. A kid at heart, can find him most Saturdays laughing, singing, and entertaining guests at his Cowtown Farmers Market booth.
Allison Holmes – Secretary/Treasurer
Allison is a licensed esthetician with years of sales and management experience. She is a follower of Jesus. After a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit on a drive home from her 9-5 job, Allison quit and started a small farm and cottage bakery “The Holmestead, LLC.” in 2023. What started with 2 loaves weekly, led to multiple farmers markets and farm co-ops, reaching more people with her products! By 2024, she was able to invest in more equipment and add husband, Josh, to the team. In 2025, after spending hours in the secret place, asking God, “What pleases you?” a new idea was born. Allison is ready to take everything to the next level, including growing projects and educational opportunities in addition to transitional housing and faith based counseling for aging out foster care women. “I am so excited to see where we grow next” she says!
